Vision for counseling

"To bring people to an awareness of who they are in Christ and to understand the 'original plan' God had for their lives (Psalm 139), to learn how to re-write the script that experiences have given to them to the script God has for them."

Background

Kris has served as Director of Grace Counseling Services since January, 1992. Adopting Rogers’ positive regard in building a therapeutic relationship with her clients, Kris’ counseling is education-oriented, with an emphasis on homework and journaling. Kris implements behavior modification for practical application of skills learned in the counseling process. Kris also utilizes psychodynamic and family systems theories to enable clients to healthfully resolve wounds from the past. Married for 33 years, Kris has three grown children and two grandchildren.
