Grace Counseling Services, founded by Grace Chapel, opened its doors in 1989. The pastoral staff of the church recognized the need for quality, professional counseling in a clinic setting, to serve the community. Our therapists are Christian by faith, from a variety of denominational backgrounds. As licensed professionals we honor the personal beliefs and convictions of the clients we serve. Clients choose if and how they would like to incorporate their personal faith into counseling. If you walk in the door and you are non-religious, you will feel welcome and comfortable in our clinic.
Counseling treatment involves many aspects of an individual or family's beliefs and life experiences. Prayer, use of scripture, and other resources are used upon the wishes of the client. Those of differing faiths find comfort and hope in prayer and religious writings and may request that these be an active part of their counseling experiences in the context of their personal faith. Non-religious clients will utilize their preferred resources to enhance their counseling experience.
Our fees are competitive in today's marketplace. Our office does not accept insurance, however we will provide you with the paperwork to turn into your insurance company, as many plans make partial reimbursement of out-of-network providers. Contact your insurance company to find out if your plan covers out-of-network mental health services.
We offer a generous sliding scale through our intern who works under the close supervision of our staff therapists.
Appointments must be cancelled 48 hours in advance. Missed appointments and cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance result in a full fee charge for the counseling session.
The office staff is available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Our therapists offer early morning and late afternoon/evening hours, Monday through Friday. Naturally, sessions outside of school and business hours are premium to most clients, thus may be more difficult to schedule.
